Oily skin problem?

I have very oily skin, how can i stop it from getting more oilyOily skin problem?
I have very oily skin too. Do the 1-2-3 steps: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize. It might seem like a lot of work, but it helps a lot. The key is to balance your skin. I use a cleanser for oily skin. Toner is very important because is restores your skins pH level, I use one for normal/oily skin. And for a moisturizer I use one for normal skin. I try and stay away from products that are all for oily skin, cause that just dries out my skin and makes it even worse. I do a facial and steam my face once a week. Don't use very hot water when washing your face, that just dries out the top layer of your skin causing your body to produce even more oil. It won't get better overnight, but the more you do all these things, the better your skin will look. If you are on the go, try using blotting paper. As far as foundation, use one that's 50% water.Oily skin problem?
wash it every day
steaming your face or using honey would do wonderrs to your skin and add lavedar or lemon good luck!
don't let oil accumulate on ur face...wash 'em regularly.

drink a lot of water, don't change ur face-cream many-a times, neither the soap u use. i'd suggest u ';dove'; . %26amp; plz...avoid going out in after-noon....infra-red frm sun is not good fr ur skin.

best o' luck!!!!
try to wash your face every 2 times a day with regular soap. its been working for me it might help you too.
wash your face with warm water everytime avoid using different soap, I will suggest Sunlight (green). Dont use different lotions! USE either Nevea mostureriser, Bioclear, or Camphor (the white one)
Like others, I would recommend seeing an esthetician. Avoid washing your face too much, because that will only make your skin more oily. Products that contain at least 2% of Salicylic Acid work nicely.
there are some great products for oily skin at Mallmaggot.com under cosmetics %26amp; skincare
I have oily skin, and I get facials. But, i learned that my old habits made my skin oilier. so the things to avoid is excessive exfoliation - twice a week is sufficient, and soapy cleansers.

I now use cetaphil and I swear by it. I never thought it would be enough, but it is, and as a result my skin does not produce excessive oil that is caused by harsh skin products.
First Look at your skincare regime. Does your skin feel tight after you wash your face? if yes then your cleanser is too harsh for your skin.

I would suggest using a mild cleanser (gel or cream) that leaves your skin feeling fresh but comfortable,

if you feel you want to use a toner (which should only be for getting rid of excess cleanser not tightning pores) get one as natural as possible npthong too harsh you don't want to feel you havr just put paint stripper on your face.

Now with a moisturiser you will want something light in texture. I would buy the cleanser first try it for a month see what your skin needs then buy a new moisturiser.

Exfoliate 1 to 2 times a week use a deep cleansing mask once a week and drink plenty of water.

Skin products can only work from the outside you also need to sort out whats going on in the inside.

Good Luck x
wash it with a mild soap. or get neutrogena oil cleanser, works great on my face (my face is soooo super oily) DONT WASH YOUR FACE MORE THEN 2 A DAY. IT WILL MAKE YOUR FACE WORSE!

What can i do to my skin to stop beeing so oily?

Use moisturisers that block oil, I don't know of any by heart but if u go to a cosmetic store then they should be able to show u which ones are the best. Also drink lots of water as this gets rid of oilyness, and I mean 2 litres, which I know is hard to do! Also use gentle exfoliators and facial washes that combat oily skin, again ask at ur nearest cosmetic store and they should help u out. What can i do to my skin to stop beeing so oily?

Wash it often. I have the same problem as you do.
Watch out with the type of foods that you eat like pizza. If you eat a lot of greasy foods that can make your skin very oily. You can also use a daily moisturizer soap by Aveeno so that if you wash your face you won't dry it out. You can also use a facial exfoliater on your face once or twice a week. And a skin toner, it works really well for oily skin. And last but not least, drinking plenty of water helps to clear your pores and exercise re-freshens your skin.
When you wash ur face/ take ur make up off :

Exfoliate

then use a face wipe which says that it removes excess oils.

then use a moisturised which does not contain oil

this will keep ur skin soft but not oily.
Exfoliate and use a gentle soap and when you moisturize (we all need to) use a water based one.
i use clinque skin care products and the soaps help to control the oil, my skin gets oil through out the day but if you use a good soap and astringent (like ponds face wipes) then a toner afterwards you should be good. try burt bees they make they're products all natural and i love their soaps.
Exfolliants are always good for reducing oils in the skin!!
Don't make the mistake of using too drying products as they strip your skin %26amp; encourage it to produce more oil. There are loads fo stuff in Sephora %26amp; the beauty of that place is that you can ask for samples. I quite like Bliss which is a mattifyer %26amp; the latest mattifyer which I find works even better is by Dr Brandt. Don't forget to use an oil free moisturiser. Glycolic acid products are fab too - look on www.skincarex.com. The one I like is by MD Forte. Also when you're out %26amp; your face is shiny use a piece of the toilet seat covers as a blotter - apparently SJ Parker does this! Be careful not to use too gritty an exfoliator which can damage your skin. Good luck from someone who knows what its like
try using a cleansing gel, i persoanlly used to use Nivea Young's cleansing gel and i found it queit good. Everymorning, you wash your fash with a little of that, and im sure you will see the results right away. Good luck
Oily skin is just a phase for most. If you are too annoyed by it try proactive. But make sure you follow directions carefully! And if you dont want to spend that money there are good mud masks that I used and make sure to keep your pores clean check the website out... ALWAYS DRINK LOTS OF WATER and dont eat too much grease or things that you may break out from like chocolate and pizza. I hate breaking out! and it is embarrassing... I used clinique when I was a teen. It worked well if I didnt use the moisturizer too much remember to check with someone who knows skin... preferably not someone who would get a commision from your buy maybe someone at sally's beauty store or a dermatologist
rinse it often.. all day.. without soap. but with face wash, wash it not mor than three times
Hi,

Numbreo uno would be to shower every day maybe twice,ha, not as if everyone doesn't buttt....my mother used to tell me that showering every day would dry out my skin and in my case it did, and the soap made me itch...when you find the answer to this question let me know so I can tell my daughter !!!!!!
Dont over wash your face or it can get worse. Eating bad is NOT going to make it oily. Proactiv has a skin mattifier that you put on before you put on your moisturizer and it works. Use makeup that is made for oily/combination skin. Dont use a ton of makeup or it will gunk up your face. Do drink at least 8 glasses of water a day for good skin.

Moisturizing is imperative for skin. Don't worry, I have oily skin, so I can give you some perspective. Look for oil-free formulas. With sunscreen, look for products with ingredients like zinc. Chemicals like avobenzone, oxybenzone(hope I spelled them right.) Those will make you look even oilier, trust me. Lots of moisturizers are now formulated for oily skin, they have ';for oily skin'; on the label. Good luck:)
hmm, here's the deal.

moisturizing skin is a must, right.

but if it gets that oily during the day, toss the moisturizer and try using a sunscreen instead. i would try nutrogena, dry touch for the face.

and if you use makeup, avoid using the liquid foundations, instread use the powders.

good luck!
i used to have very oily skin and found that by using Olay moisturizer my skin would regulate its oils. so i do recommend using a -light- moisturizer such as Olay. nothing too creamy

anything that would dry out my skin would be great.I Have extreamly oily skin! what can help?!?
Your skin is not balanced. Don't use nail polish because then you would need to hydrate your skin. If you want something that works, you should consider spending a little bit of money. You can use Artistry essentials balancing Skin Care System. You can go to http://arcameda.com and search for balancing. This stuff is amazing and is costumized for oily skin to remove the oils from you skin.I Have extreamly oily skin! what can help?!?
I have an easy way you can dry out your skin... Cut back on eating all those fatty foods.... Dietary fat intake is where all that oil comes from, I might add... If you reduce the fat in your diet, then that oily skin issue will go away..

Also, if you are seeing acne from that oily skin, then consider adding some coconut oil to your diet. I would recommend getting some Virgin Coconut Oil from a health food store and taking about 2 to 3 tablespoons per day. Not only is it very powerful against acne, is quite healthy, helps with weight loss, but it also gives wonderful skin tone...

Good Luck and I Hope this Helps...
An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details on oily skin log on to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/

Do like that daily or 4 days in a week.. Another method, mix in a few drops of eau de cologne. This not only helps keep oiliness away but also helps in refining the pores of the skin by acting as astringent, thereby preventing acne.... you may try these to cure your oily skin to become an fresh skin...Home Remedy for Oily Skin (face)..?
It's not your fault, really. If you've got to blame someone, blame your ancestors. Chances are they came from someplace where oily skin served a useful purpose, such as combating the effects of excessive Mediterranean sunlight or monsoon rains. Now you're stuck with oily skin in the middle of Minnesota, where the embarrassment of a shiny forehead outweighs any possible protection your skin might afford you from scorching rays or tropical torrents.

Heredity does play a big part in oily skin, but so do hormones. Pregnant women sometimes notice an increase in skin oil as hormonal activity changes. So do women taking certain types of birth control pills. Stress can also cause the oil glands to kick into overdrive. The wrong cosmetics can easily aggravate an otherwise mild case of oily skin. Some of these causes are within your ability to control, but others you'll have to learn to live with.

There is no magic cure for oily skin. State-of-the-art advice from the experts calls for keeping it clean, and keeping at it all the time. Our tips will help you do that as well as it can be done.

On the up side, skin experts believe there are some advantages to having an oily hide, not the least of which becomes apparent with the steady passing of time. That is, oily skin tends to age better and wrinkle less than dry or normal skin. Today's curse; tomorrow's blessing.

Make mine mud. ';Clay masks or mud masks are worthwhile,'; says Howard Donsky, M.D., an associate professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and staff dermatologist at Toronto General Hospital. But Dr. Donsky cautions that masks will make skin feel good and look better only temporarily, so don't count on the effects lasting for any length of time.

Generally, the darker brown the clay (mud), the more oil it can absorb. White or rose-colored clays, though, are gentler and work best on sensitive skin.

Masks can cleanse the skin of surface greasiness, but don't expect them to ';deep-clean'; the pores (the term is meaningless, some experts say) or do anything more than temporarily tone the skin.

    Splash on the hot suds. ';Hot water is a good solvent,'; says Hillard H. Pearlstein, M.D., a private practitioner and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York. For that reason, he recommends that oily skin be washed in very warm water, with plenty of soap. ';Hot water plus soap will dissolve skin oil better than cold water and soap,'; he says, ';because more things dissolve in hot than cold, and that includes soap and the grit and grime you're trying to get rid of on your skin.';

    Seek out drying soaps. ';Given the state of the art in oily skin treatment, all you can really do is degrease the skin,'; Dr. Pearlstein says, ';and that has to be done repeatedly, with astringents and with drying soaps.';

Finding a drying soap is not a problem (finding one that won't dry the skin can be, however). Many dermatologists seem to favor good old Ivory for oily skin, along with more specialized degreasing soaps such as Cuticura Mildly Medicated Soap, Clearasil soap, and Neutrogena Oily Skin Formula, to name a few.

    But there's really no reason to spend lots of money, says Kenneth Neldner, M.D., a professor and chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. ';Some people feel that soaps like Safeguard and Dial are fairly drying, and these should do the trick. The thing is to make sure you use lots of it鈥攇o heavy on the soap and scrub that skin.';

    Follow with astringents. Astringents with acetone are your best bet, according to Dr. Neldner. ';Acetone is a great fat and grease solvent, and most astringents have a bit of acetone in them. If you use it regularly, you can surely remove oil from the skin.';

Although most astringents contain alcohol, look for a brand that also contains acetones, such as Seba-Nil, says Dr .Neldner. Ordinary rubbing alcohol, however, can be used as an effective, inexpensive astringent. Those looking for something milder can try witch hazel, which contains some alcohol and also works well.

Nonalcohol astringents contain mostly water and are not as effective as those with alcohol and acetone, but they may be of help for those with sensitive skin. Worth noting: Dermatologists say that rather than washing the face several times a day, which can leave it too dry and irritated, you're better off to carry astringent pads with you and use them to cleanse the face.

    Select cosmetics with care. ';Cosmetics come in two major categories,'; says Dr. Neldner, ';oil-based and water-based. If you've got oily skin, use only a water-based product.';

There are many cosmetics formulated for oily skin. They are made to soak up and cover oiliness so the skin doesn't look as greasy. But no cosmetic has any magical ingredient that will slow down or stop oil production, so don't be lured into buying products that make

I have very oily skin too and I use mostly maybeline products and I use a biore face lotion for oily skin and it helps a lot.
I use the Wexler products that they sell at Bath and Body works - they're really good and you can get a 'starter' kit which is 45bux for day/eve creams, eye cream, exfoliant %26amp; cleansers. I have oily skin and it works well .. I also keep the Clean%26amp;Clear blotting papers for those really warm/humid days - nothing keeps you 'un-oiled' all day - look at it this way - less wrinkles!
You can find a lot of good information online if you conduct a search using ';makeup for oily skin';. The sites pulled up offer skin care tips and makeup suggestions.

Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals is one. Prescriptives and Clarins also offer good products.

    Good luck!
Chanel products are good. You can also try Aveda. If you use liquid foundation try using a primer (Laura Mercier) before hand. I also like compact foundations for every day use (use Sephora). Smash anti-shine is also great.
Im not sure how much money you have to spend on something like this, but if money is not a huge issue, then id go with Clinique, which can be found in most large department stores like Macy's, Strawbridges, Bon-Ton, whatever you have around you. They actually have a whole system for washing your face. A cleanser, toner, and a pore minimizing, matte-finish moisturizer is what they start you with. For makeup, they have a foundation that is great for oily skin. It doesnt clog my pores or turn oily after an hour or two.

But like i said, it is a bit pricey, so i am not sure what your situation is. At the least, go up to a counter and get a free consultation. They are very helpful, and usually if you spend so much, you get really cute special gifts. I went a few weeks ago and spent over $21.50 and i got this little travel kit, and it came with a full tube of lipstick, mascara, duo-eyeshadow, and samples of their new products.

Creams and liquids make it worse and just feels gross when your face oils up.

Mineral foundation is the best for oily skin cuz you are not adding any extra liquid to the skin!

I'd suggest you try what I use from LA Minerals:

Their Oil control powder (put on first)

    Their Hollywood foundation

    Their mineral veil

Their samples are like $1-$2 and they ship em free.

You will love how your face feels!Foundation for oily skin?
Try a powder to cream foundation. Most brands carry this and they are conviently in compacts.
A powder foundation. Nothing cream, few liquid.
i used to use the cover girl mousse but that caked on me and the cream to powder ones caked around my acne. I use neutrogena skin clearing oil free makeup. its the best one i've found! i love it. i only have to re apply powder once in the rest of the day since for oily skin no matter what foundation you use you always have to finish with powder for a clean look.
i have an oily t-zone area and i wear bare minerals makeup. it does tend to get a tad shiny midday so i just used some mineral veil to take care of that. honestly, there are tons of products out there that can help with oil control, but the bottom line is that if you have really oily skin you will never truly get away from it. trust me i have tried sooo many oil control products! many of them help but i still always have to touch up my foundation mid day. try bare minerals or a powder foundation. nothing waterbased it will only make you look more oily.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

    1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

    2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.Help with oily skin?
although you have oily skin, moisturizing is still very important and it will clear up acne...try olay replinish all day moisturizer, it is not oily at all but you skin may seem to feel a little oily at first but in time your skin's ph will balance itself out and blemishes will vanish.
Just try Clinique. They have different products for people that have different types of skin (varying from dry to oily) and different strenghts of washes and clarifying lotions.
My wife uses a site which offers the professional type salon products which you will not find in supermarkets and on the main shelves. Some of this is not cheap and must be used with care. I think that she used some of the DCL range for our daughter who had this problem. You will find the products at:

    http://www.onlynature.co.uk/shop/everyda鈥?/a>

the site is priced, though, in GB Pounds.

    Hope this helps!
i use like egg white and biore masks and it helps tremendously you put the egg whites on your face and let it dry and it does help

i use ponds beauty detox cream its effective try it.Improving scarred, oily skin?
    use ponds
    get a good cleanser

drink plenty of water to flush out toxins

dont have to much junk food

    have plenty of fruit

maybe you should try talking to an expert on skin
Cleanse %26amp; Tone. Moisturise with an Oil-Free Moisturizer. Dont' eat too many Fatty type foods. Increase your intake of Fruits and Vegetables.

Choose a skincare program suited to Oily skins, like Nutrimetics Clear
Don't eat oily foods, use facialmask. You can make a homemade oatmeal mask. for your face. Vitamin E for skin, Vitamin k for scars. www.facevitamins.com advertise their Vitamin C orange mandarin products and multivitamin oils. Use bleaching cream on uneven skin tones.
if you can afford it go to a dermatologist to get microdermabrasion treatments. It will improve your skin greatly
Drink alot of water, fruit and veggie and no fatty or greasy foods. For the scars you can try to go and see a dermotologist they could probably help you out. Also wash your face with a cleanser, facial scrub, then a toner and then cream and it will make your face look better. Oily of Olay is pretty good to use. I was told by a facial associate that never wash your face with soap it dry's out your skin. She said always use a cleanser,

    1. wash your face regularly - not with soap but good face wash, astringent

    2. eat less oily food

    3. keep your stomach free from disorders and upsets

    4. keep your mind stress free.

    5. Oil face does not necessarily mean that it has sufficient moisture. hence use moisteriser whenever essential
for the scarring try microdermabrasion at the dermatologist....they sell many different kits to do it yourself at home, but its nothing like what they do at the dermatologist. i had scaring from when i was younger and now you cant tell there was anything there.
WASH YOUR FACE WITH BAKING SODA EVERY OTHER DAY! USE PREPARATION H AT BEDTIME FOR THE SCARRING!
wash your face on a regular basis use a good astringent lotion, avoid eating oily foods....
Make sure you drink plenty of water, and a daily vitamin everyday. Stay away from sodas.
Lay off the cokes and sweets

I have oily skin. how do i make the pores smaller?

Once a week use an exfoliating or clay-based tightening mask.

    4 tbsp. French (green) clay

    2 tsp. honey

    2 tsp. water

4 drops of lavender essential oil

Mix all the ingredients. Apply on the face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow with toner and moisturizer. Enjoy!I have oily skin. how do i make the pores smaller?
You can't make pores smaller? Well you cant from what I know. But I would suggest to wash your face with HOT water and I would use that face mask stuff (that you can buy from wallgreens or any other small store or at walmart), and then what that does is it cleans your face and makes it not feel or look oily and gets rid of pores alot quiker. But to permintly get rid of pores is to watch what you eat. Sounds werid but try to stay away from chocolate!!!:)I have oily skin. how do i make the pores smaller?
The only thing you can do after washing your face is rinse with cold water or submerse a wash cloth in cold water %26amp; pat your face with it. Cold water shrinks pores.

Warm water opens them up, which you still need to do to clear the pores. Wash in warm, rinse with cold
You actually can't make your pores smaller, but you can refine the look of them by using an exploiter 3 times a week or going to your dermatologist.

I've never found a foundation that worked for me. My skin would still be greasy.

BUTTTTTT... I did find a foundation primer that really helps soak up the oil and then you can use any foundation over it.

Smashbox Photo Finish Light. It is like $36 a bottle but... i will say TOTALLY worth it!!

Look into the mineral foundations, almost every brand makes one now and just use a light app so it won't get cakey. Or if you want a liquid try one that water-based, it won't add oil to your skin. I think Cover Girl makes one.
Use a spray tip aerosol can, the spray is liquid, but thinner so you can add layers or just have one layer for coverage. For control, spray it onto a moist pad and evenly coat your face and partially your neck.

    :]
Perspectives has a foundation so matte it will be hard to blend. Which is good in your case. So to the booth in the mall and ask for help.

I tried everything on my face and nothing really worked..then

    I found something really cool

You can buy it from all pharmacies...

THE SEBAMED TEENAGE SET!!!... There is the foam which you apply on your face so that you dont get any more pimples...then there is the tonic which clears black heads (it takes like two weeks before you can notice the effect) and there is the small cream that you apply on your current pimples so that it dries them...ITS GREAT

But financial wise if you cant buy those then just buy the sebamed soap...its better than nothing,,,(people told me that the soap helps a lot too..but I have never really used it)

    Good luck

    take care

Being a teenager, I naturally have oily skin..mostly on my nose %26amp; forehead. I don't have many pimples, just oily skin. I use Neutrogena facewash, but are there any other products that you use to help control the shine and oil? Thanks!Help for oily skin please?
What's your morning routine when it comes to washing your face?

I used to have the world's oliest skin but some changes in my daily routine really turned things around.

Exfoliate your skin. This gets rid of any residue you don't need.

Use a deep-cleansing facial wash. You can choose the kind for oily skin.

Use a toner. I find that this step really takes away the oiliness of my skin.

Moisturize. Again, you can use a cream that's best suited for your oily skin. I use to not use moisurizers because I thought that that was the root of my oily skin. When you don't moisturize, your body produces oil to do the moisturizing which results in oily skin.

All the products I mentioned above were Neutrogena products.

On the go, you can use blotting sheets or powders. You can find these anywhere. Sephora, NYC, Clean %26amp; Clear all sell great blotting sheets. Just Take a sheet and wipe it over your oily areas, and I swear, the oiliness disappears!

Covergirl and Urban Decay sell some blotting powders. Just use a brush or the included sponge applicator and go over your oily spots, and just like with the sheets, the oiliness goes away!

Also, get your hair out of your face. Your hair has natural oils that can rub onto your face and make it oily. The same goes with touching your face--your fingers have natural oils.

Eat healthy. A healthy lifestyle can be really good for not only your beauty, but also your health.

Hoped it helped!Help for oily skin please?
Just make sure all of your facial products don't contain any oil. (i've tried those shine-control face washes and they don't make any difference!) Even though you can oily skin, it's still important to moisturize, just make sure your lotion is water based and not oil based. After applying make-up (if any), set it with a dusting of translucent face powder. My fave product for getting rid of oil slicks during the day is the clean and clear blotting papers. They remove all of the oil and your face and are silky soft. Plus, I think the packaging is good, too. Best of luck! ;)
Use Clean %26amp;Clear makeup dissolving cleanser it helps remove oils as well as your makeup from your face. I even have my brother use it for his oily skin. If you do have a break out or have blackheads use equate Blackhead Clearing Scrub and you can use both these things with Neutrogena face wash bar, I do. If your skin drys out some use Olay complete moisture lotion for oily skin it keeps your face soft and has a sun screen in it to protect damage. If you still have a problem with shine be sure to apply your makeup powder regularly to prevent it. Sorry that was long by the way.

Usually acne cleansers tend to be on the harsh side, meaning they stripped your skin bone dry. As a result the skin over produces oil. That's why I don't use those types of cleansers, it's almost like using hand soap.

What I use for my oily skin:

Coonobabe's Pepino cleanser, followed by their Savila toner (the mandarin toner is a little harsh). First wash with cleanser, pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner and allow to air dry. On hot and humid days I tend to repeat this process, but it's worth it since my skin feels clean to the touch. So I hope this helps you.

    Google Coonobabe

btw: they ship 4 free, made in USA, and do not test on animals - a must for me. ;)
I myself have very oily skin and i have found that a few extra products will make u shine free!

first cleanse your face with an oil free cleanser ( I use biore pore unclogging scrub) it works great and has salicylic acid for those pimples!

next clinique has a clarifying lotion specially for oily skin ( works great!)

next you want to moisturize! i usually put on my preferred moisturizer and then let it dry for a few minutes.

then! really important...MAC has this great oil control lotion!! i swear by it. ever since i started using this product my face has looked much better with less make up touch ups. the oil control lotion mattifies your skin.

now if you wear foundation you should try using a mattifying primer and finish with a blot powder or setting powder and you'll be shine free!
i have oily skin also...the key is to MOISTURIZE..yess. the reason being is because once your face is dry, your skin starts to produce more oil, so moisturize. you can always use oil blotting sheets or use bare minerals veil. it helps.
    SNAP.

ughhh i know exactly what you mean!

it sucks doesnt it? wat i do is give my face a good cleanse, then

    pat dry[not scrub]

then apply an oil-free moistrizer %26amp; keep blotting your face every

now %26amp; then during the day.

    hope i helped! xD
Blotting sheets. It's literally made for oily skin. Get it at sephora or something. it's portable, and you can put it in a bag so you can use it whenever you want

    You should do the following:

Make sure you're using a salicylic acid product. More information on that here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>

Use oil absorbing sheets during the day to blot up excess oil.

Also, use an ultra-matte foundation if you wear makeup. More info on that here. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>Skincare for oily skin?
Try using natural ingredients instead of chemical filled commercial products! I've been doing this for a couple years now and my skin has never looked better.

One of my favorite facial cleansers is powdered milk. It gently cleanses the skin but doesn't strip skin's natural oils like most all mainstream products do.

There are a bunch of different recipes and ideas for tailoring natural ingredients to your skin! Here's a great website for natural skin care:

    http://www.simplynaturalskin.com/Face.ht鈥?/a>

I would guess your oily problems is your skin's way of trying to communicate a reaction to all the products you're using. Hopefully the website I gave will help you out. Good luck!
well first of all take care in cleaning. clean ur skin 5 to 6 times a day . dont take all this chemical prducts. just relay on herbal medicine. i suggst u some - wash face with any herbal face wash that suits u . then use chandraprabha ubtan as a facepack daily and take neem capsule twicse daily of himalaya company ok
take vitamin A tabelets take two a day and use panoxly facial wash, i used it and i saw results in 3 days. vitamin A has the ability to dry up sebum (oil) on your face and if you dont belive me look it up
why not try to get yourself some Aveeno bath oil

I have oily skin...I need help!?

I'm just wondering if there are any remedies out there to help minimize the oiliness of my face.

ThanksI have oily skin...I need help!?
I use Cliniqe (sp?) Face wash system.

I have oily skin too, and I got the oily combination skin wash! It works really well because it's very gentle but still shows good results!

I have oily skin and hv acne. me 20years old....?

    dera frnds

i m 20 yr old and hav acne for last 1 year, not so much but there is sum white kind of acne on my face..i take all d medicine and tried everything..tell me the any beauty treatment

what should i do ?i feel ashamed.i want clear skinI have oily skin and hv acne. me 20years old....?
Well, if you tried everything we really can't help.I have oily skin and hv acne. me 20years old....?
Eat a high fiber, drink lots of water diet and stop washing your skin. For some reason that worked for me.
Don't feel ashamed, it's not uncommon for people out of their teens to have acne. I suggest drinking lots of water to start out, because that flushes the body and gets rid of nasty toxins that can actually be causing your skin problems.

To top it off, I suggest Mary Kay's 3-in-1 cleanser. It's a very gentle exfoliante that doesn't use the chemical burn theory that benzoyl peroxide and salacylic acid based cleansers use to clean your skin.

I've included a link to the oily/combination skin cleanser, but there's one for dry/normal skin and even a bar soap that does the same thing.

I swear by this cleanser. It's given me so much confidence back.

    http://www.marykay.com/tswadley/skincare鈥?/a>
try washing your face more......and dont touch your face with your hands....dont put on makeup either.....
    drink plenty of water

wash your face at night times with cleanser, exfoliater, toner and moisturiser.

Try avoiding make-up for a while, also make sure the creams you put on your face are oil-free.

The ';oil-free'; sign should be at the front of the cream.

It is important that you choose the right cream, otherwise it will not work.

Try going to a doctor to consult, or the pharmacist advice to which cream.

Also try and get a professional facial done, and ask what creams they use, and how they use it, that way you can learn from them how to do your treatments at home.
using just any kind of facial wash, soap, or cream that is advertised to remove pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, etc..won't really work unless you consult a dermatologist. quit playing with your face honey cause it might only get worse. The best thing for you to do is to go to a dermatologist..get a facial..and apply whatever medicine he tells you to apply..yeah, might be a bit expensive though but still worth it ;)..invest in your face cause most of the time it defines how people will judge you.
I don't know if you've tried this but go and get some really really good skin cleanser/moisturiser. Go to a proper brand like clinique and they will look at your skin tell you exactly what you need to do to get rid of the acne. This will probably be an oil free cleanser and moisturiser and maybe a scrub too. You shouldn't really use toner because you have young skin and it will strip it. Then just use whatever they tell you however often (probably twice a day). Good luck!
As you told, you have tried all the medicine...why don't you try home remedies...home care has no side effect at least...

For oily skin tomato is best for skin. Drink lots of water and eat greenies. Also apply lemon juice and cucumber juice to your face. You can apply fresh aloevera in the face to cure pimples.
if you have oily skin ..try warm water for washing , and Dove moiturizer soap, then rinse with cold water to close your open pores.

    hope it might help..

    good luck.
You have whiteheads. Don't pop your zits, just get a good zit cream and wash your face twice a day.
hi, i understand completely how u must be feeling, i have acne too, for longer than one year, i suggest you drink alot of water, and use a gentle facewash for oily skin and wash ur face every morning and evening, and use garniers pure A and give it time, it will go, and don't stress, i have acne too, and i know how it feels.
Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

    Help for oily skin?

Hi. I have no acne, but my skin is oily. I ';blot'; all day long. Do any of you have any remedies or treatments (homemade or store bought) that might help me with my situation? I'd appreciate any advice that you can give. Thanks in advance for your help.Help for oily skin?
It's good that you don't have acne.I know about oily skin because i've been dealing with it for all my life.I've used so many products, you won't believe it!!!The fact is that oily skin is a deep disorientation of the skin causing it to produce more oil than necessary. No product is able to ban your oiliness completely. But this doesn't mean that you must not use any products. On the contrary specified products for oily skin will help your skin become as less oily as possible and keep it healthy. So all you have to do is use a line of products for oily skin morning and night.Cleanse, tone and moisturize.I believe Este猫 Lauder is one of the best brands you can use.But that depends on you.Help for oily skin?
Palmolive hard green soap, on the entire face each time you feel that way. But here's the bright side: oily faces age slower.
Well, I have combination skin....one day I am oily %26amp; sometimes just normal.

I have a very simple %26amp; non-expensive way to keep oil down. Using a cotton ball I put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on gently rub it all over my face allowing it to set in, then I wait 5 minutes and continue moisturizing as normal...and within a week I really saw a difference!
Try putting milk of magnesia on your skin. Leave for ten minutes and then wash off with plain water. Really does help diminish oil. If you dilute it with a bit of water on a cotton ball, you may get a thin enough coat so that it won't be visible under make-up.
I don't know any remidies..but i know that Snt Ives Apricot helps your skin breath and better because i use it myself

    =)
Oil-Free acne wash (mostly used for oily skin)
You can use the Pond's product. It has formula 5 that helps to solve 5 skin problems. Just use it properly.

How? Just squeeze a pea sized on your palm and mix it with water. Then rub it on palm until become foamy then scrub on every part that needs solution or if oily, just on the whole face.

You can buy it at supermarkets.
If blotting hasn't been working, go see a dermatologist.

These tips will help you do that as well as it can be done.

    Splash on the hot suds.

    ';Hot water is a good solvent,'; says Hillard H. Pearlstein, M.D., a private practitioner and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York. For that reason, he recommends that oily skin be washed in very warm water, with plenty of soap. ';Hot water plus soap will dissolve skin oil better than cold water and soap,'; he says, ';because more things dissolve in hot than cold, and that includes soap and the grit and grime you're trying to get rid of on your skin.';

    Follow with astringents.

    Astringents with acetone are your best bet, according to Dr. Neldner. ';Acetone is a great fat and grease solvent, and most astringents have a bit of acetone in them. If you use it regularly, you can surely remove oil from the skin.';

    Select cosmetics with care.

    ';Cosmetics come in two major categories,'; says Dr. Neldner, ';oil-based and water-based. If you've got oily skin, use only a water-based product.';

There are many cosmetics formulated for oily skin. They are made to soak up and cover oiliness so the skin doesn't look as greasy. But no cosmetic has any magical ingredient that will slow down or stop oil production, so don't be lured into buying products that make such claims.

    Take a powder.

Baby powder, that is. For additional shine-free protection, some women find that simple products such as Johnson's Baby Powder make a superb face powder when fluffed lightly over makeup.

    Cleansing Oily Skin

Before applying homemade facial masks and skin treatments for oily skin, it鈥檚 important to properly clean your face, but don鈥檛 make the mistake of using products that aren鈥檛 specifically meant for oily skin. Cold cream, and some facial cleansers are oil-based, and they aren鈥檛 appropriate for oily skin. Moisturizers that contain oil will cleanse the skin, but they will cause an already oily face to become even more greasy.

Find a low-cost facial soap formulated specifically for oily skin. Fill a basin with warm water, and saturate your face with the water. Make a thick lather with soap of your choice, and apply the soap to your face using a gentle circular motion. Rinse away the lather with the warm soapy water, and preform a second rinse with clean warm water. Lastly, finish by rinsing the face with clean, cool water, and pat your face dry with an absorbent towel. Cleanse your face in this manner, morning and night. This should help keep oily skin clean and under control.

    Oatmeal and Honey Mask

An oatmeal and honey mask can be very effective for treating oily skin. Simply make a paste using uncooked oatmeal, honey, and lemon juice. Spread this mixture on your face, and use extreme caution around the eyes. Leave the mask on for about ten minutes, and rinse it off with warm water. Dab your face dry with an absorbent towel.

    hope this helps
Daily, mix 1 tablespoon of limejuice with cucumber juice and apply it on the skin surface almost half an hour before having a bath. Your skin may be extremely oily and so mix a few trickles of eau de cologne. By treating the skin in this manner, you are not only removing the excess oil from the skin, but also clearing the pores that are present, thus preventing the development of acne.

An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. looks like you have combination skin type, so use normal to oily cleanser, toner and moisturier for that, you can try Artistry essentials balancing system for that, it is very good.

your next problem is blemishes so use anti blemish cream for that. may be you can find some on the following link:

    http://www.skincarezone.net/
Take a beated egg white and put it on your face. It will be like a facial. Let it be for a little while and then rinse your face. This will minimize your pores and prevent acne.
Honestly, clinique has some great product for minimizing pores right now and I was surprised but it really works. Also they have great pimple busting stuff too that fades old marks as well. Expensive but worth it. Otherwise I would buy some fade cream, with hydroquinine I believe. Find it at cvs or walgreens!
fresh lemon when applied to your large pores will shrink them
cleanser: use nivea oil controlling gel

tone: use alcohol-free toner, doesn't matter who makes it. from neutrogena to clean %26amp; clear

    moisturizer: OIL-FREE, any type

    make up: OIL-FREE, SPF 10+

those small pimple marks will fade over time

Strange at it may seem, More Oil. Eat fish like salmon or take fish oil supplements. They will help change the texture of the skin oil so it is thinner and less noticeable. (it will take at least 3 or 4 weeks) Do not wash with detergent type of soap, like most liquid soaps. Instead use a mild oil soap or stuff like Noxema (which is just solidified oil) to clean your skin. Using anything harsher causes your skin to produce more oil to protect it.

You can purchase some sort of astringent for use at home. If you're out and about you can purchase oil blotting sheets. Or if you want to be cheap you can go into a public restroom and take a few of the toilet seat covers and use them. They work just as well as the oil blotting sheets you can buy at the drugstore and best of all they're free!
i use clean %26amp; clear oil pads. you can get them from targett. they take your oils away without taking off your makeup. i love them.
I too have really oily skin. If you wash your face with Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub, Clean %26amp; Clear Toner, and Clean %26amp; Clear lotion. Do this routine day and night that should help.
    astryngent from any pharmacy.

try clean and clear. it driesup your skin and prevents oil and acne.
you need to adjust your diet eat more natural foods and less fat and greasy foods and your skin should improve within 3-4 weeks
they have oil blotting sheets that you can buy at drugstores!

I have really oil skin (like you) it's controlled by me using stridex in the am %26amp; pm...w/ very little facial lotion. it will make your skin more manageable. :) Good luck fellow B2B! :)Help with oily skin please?
Sassy is right about the Sheer Cover. It REALLY covers well, much better than regular talc powder, and it makes your skin look great and doesn't make it oily like regular foundation.
Try using astringent after ur morning makeup or beauty regime...it closes your pores, but then do remember to clean up your face with cleanser every night, so as to give your skin some fresh air to breathe...
I have oily skin as well. In fact I just might try and banking soda trick. But as far as makeup goes, I switched to Sheer Cover to see what affect it would have on my oily skin. At first I was unimpressed, but after using it for a little while I really really like it. Just a thought as far as make up goes.
I recomend to you use the Skinlogics 20 maintenance set cleasing gel is formulated to help mildly exfoliate skin and help control oil. will not strip skin of essential moisture ,

Skinlogics tonic is alcohol-free refresh while it helps control oil and leaves skin with a matte finish, skinlogics mousturizer is oil-free and will not clog pores. Hidrates and soothes skin and the skinlogics facial scrub gently exfoliates dead surface cells to invigorate and polish skin find this maintenance set in www.beautipage.com/zaidymarie
Have you ever tried Bare Minerals?

This powder foundation helps my combination dry-oily skin, and I don麓t get as many zits if I use it faithfully.

Since you麓re getting married, put yourself on a beauty routine. Take care of your skin like never before, and you麓ll glow on your special day. I don麓t think I麓ll ever look prettier because I now neglect my skin-although I麓m starting to get back on track!
alright check this out. You wont believe this but give it a shot because I tried it one day and it has been working really well. I had super oily skin until I did this and I perfer it over any product out ther. Wash your face with baking soda. it will help dry out the oil and make your face really soft. I went online and looked into it and found a lot of people were doing it too. Give it a shot what do you have to lose. Its cheaper then any over the counter product out there and works so much better

Acne Help please! oily skin and spot treatment?

can i use spot treatment acne gel as an acne cream? and how could i get my face to be less oily throughout the day.. it seems that every hour my face gets oily againAcne Help please! oily skin and spot treatment?
I would clear acne for some time with over the counter cleaners and then my body would become immune to them and the acne would commence after a month or two. So I have to use dermatologists products. [Proactive worked the longest over the counter for about 6 months]. Now I use what my doctor prescribed called ';Differin'; gel. I've been using it for almost 2 years its great! My body isn't immune to it yet. I used to use Tazorac and Retin-a Micro but personally they darkened my skin pigment strangely and my skin lost its luster. As for oil I haven't found a total help for that, but the Differen gel even helps me jus a bit with that.Acne Help please! oily skin and spot treatment?
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It's been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';Cee En's Acne Solution'; or ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

check the seller's feedbacks on the cream

    I hope this helps. =)

I have oily skin. i would always have breakouts/zits. i had acne before.what's the best facial cleanser?

As far as acne is concerned the best cleanser is 'Benzoyl peroxide' in the morning and 'Retino A' at night. You'll see the difference in a month. Take my word at this.

I had a face full of acne. I was suggested this. Within 6 months, my face cleared and now I have no acne.

Don't pluck at them. It'll leave you marks.

The best 'Benzoyl peroxide' cream is supplied by 'Palmers'. It really works wonders.

Use face cleaners and moisturizers that are oil free. don't over do it on foundation and powder. also you can these things called blotting papers that you can pat on your face throughout the day that soak up the excess oil that you can find at most beauty stores and possibly drug stores that sell generic cosmetics

    I hope i helped :)
    1. use an under make up base. I like boots no7, but i think mac do one as well.

    2. buy some of those facial blotting tissues (got mine from the body shop) and keep them in your pocket to dab on your face when you feel it's getting too oily.

all u really need is a towel an hot water. Because all it is Greece that's leaving your body.

but rub the oily area with the hot towel an all of ur oily skin within like a day shouldn't be oily or as oily as the day b4!?!
rub ur face with lime continously for abt 15-20 minutes. then put some sugar on ur lime watered face.....after the sugar cubes melt..wash ur face....and u'll hv a oil free glowing skin. it will help u to avoid pimples wich r very common in oily skins. alwez use oil free moisturisers on ur face...or if u dont use it'll do too....
Wash your face 4 times a day with a good face wash and scrub.

As soon as you go out and return home, wash your face so that it removes all dirt and prevents it from sticking to your skin and later making it oily
I ALSO HAVE OILY SKIN,SO AS MY PART OF ADVICE U BETTER USE SOME FACEWASH(HERBAL) WITH NEEM,LEMON AND TEA TREE EXTRACTS.( HIMALYA NEEM FACE WASH,JOVEES ETC.) AND USE SUN-SCREEN WHICH R NOT STICKY,SWEAT-FREE,LIKE LOTUS WITH SPF-30.
use scrub products two times a week after making an herbal infusion with your face..also use only products that are oil free both for care and for make up and in the summer spray some sparkling water over your face every few hours
    Apply MUTHANIMITTI
wash ur face regularly... and use multani mitti face packs..

My Mary Kay Consultant says to use only hypoallergenic products on your skin. If you have really sensitive skin, use either no-exfoliant or a very mild exfoliant on your skin. For oily skin, use a product designed for oily skin. She also says to use a lightweight moisturizer! All Mary Kay products are hypoallergenic (and I think they are super!).

You should use clearasil. You just wipe your face with these flat circular swabs and in a few days your face is pretty clear. Its job is to dry your face up so you don't get all that junk in it.
hi, why don`t you use clove powder mix with few drops of milk on acne.
    Nivea for Men.
str8 up alcholo will work wonders just pour some on a cotton shirt (not a wash cloth thats to harsh) just and old 100%cotton tee and wipe your face if your using a white tee you will see all the durt s picks up youll be amazed i have never washed my face with water a day in my life and I have never in my 23 yeasr had a pimple or a breakout and I give the rubbunbg alcohol the credit. It may sting fro a sec and may bother your nose but beieve me its well worth it
I like to use the Neutrogena Cleanser/Mask. You can use it either way.

They sell all sorts of organic soaps, cleansers/toners, that specalise for different skin types. They're not got added chemicals, good for sensitive skin, and use pure ingredients, and they're not too dear either.
Clean %26amp; Clear Acne Clearing Cleanser works best because it will not dry your skin up dramatically like Proactive and it does not contain any micro beads in it, it is soapy and it leaves your skin wondrously smooth %26amp; pimple free!
Witch hazel face wash or Body shop Tea-Tree face wash foam, both gentle but effective. I had acne for years and went through several harsh medical treatments (including the infamous Roaccutane) until one day I went to another dermatologist who told me I had sensitive skin and since then I have got rid of all my anti-bacterial stuff and only use gentle natural face washes. I currently use the Aloe Vera one by the Body shop. Over the last ten years I have found that two things work really effectively, drinking green tea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (usually with honey to boost the metabolism) and I also keep tea-tree oil with me wherever I go as it zaps spots over night and stops spots getting infected (if you do have the occasional sinful squeeze!). Hope it helps!

go to a high end department store and ask for a sample [at a mac counter].
I like the ones from the health shop that donot contain harsh chemicals like sodium laureth sulphate, much gentler on your skin.. Jason do a good range.
Try a 50/50 paste of fresh Turmeric and Red sandal wood in luke warm water applied to the face for half hour.
well i always use oxy face wash because its gentle and doesnt make your skin feel all tight afterwards! its got some moisturising ingredients in it aswel so you can also get smooth skin! i have oily skin and if by the middle of the day my face has become oily again, i normally use some blotting paper, but if thats too expensive you could always use greaseproof paper.

if your acne is really bad, i would go to your doctors because they perscribed me this face cream called zineryt, ive been using it for about a month and most of my acne has gone now!

You really don't get the full results of any kind of face wash or lotion till you've been using it for 6 months or more...you should try an Aveeno Oatmeal bar of soap, it is very gentle and won't make your skin all flaky.
Simple products are the best IMO.
Try ';angels on bare skin'; from Lush (www.lush.com). I use it all the time and it always has the same effect. It's all natural so it won't irritate you. There's no micro beads, just small bits of lavendar to exfoliate gently.
i used somthing from estee lauder..i am an adult and just started getting acne...go figure...but i was given a sample of Perfecty Clean facial lotion....and i love it...it leave your skin so free and clean. It warms the face to open the poes...and cleans like crazy...acne free for 5 moths...plus a huge jar is onlt $25.00 5 months now...and still half left... just a little foams up so well, and i use it twice a day.....best i have ever used.
use natural things, like curd and sugar for pimples for spots
use loreal pure zone cleanser. not the exfloating one. just the purifying pump bottle one. it works great. clearasil is too drying and will leave dry-shiny-glazed patches of skin on your face. others is just ok......
there's a gd one but i dont remember the name...red bottle and specifically for greasy skin...works a charm...looks kinda tropicla..would be in supermarket
I have always had oily skin that is really sensitive. I have tried everything you could ever imagine so i feel ur pain. At the top of the range you have Dermalogica (fantastic but expensive) Then Proactive. Proactive can be drying so i only use the cleanser and Repair lotion at night. The repair lotion will help to dry out any new breakouts. It actually takes up to three months for a pimple or acne to form because the bacteria needs to grow so proactive works to clear the pore. It is good for prevention but is not a cure.

    Hope this helps

You should try Dermologica products. I had a facial at a really nice spa %26amp; they used those products. I became addicted. They have lots of great products for many types of skin. And it is sold in a lot of local spas. They can do a ';Face Map'; on you and tell you exactly what works for your face and can also give you tester samples. I've been using it for a while and my face has cleared up a lot, while still maintaining a natural glow.
I also have an oily T-zone, and I love Mary Kay TimeWise Combo to Oily cleanser and moisturizer. Works great. The first couple of weeks you will notice a huge difference in your skin. After that smooth sailing. If you choose a cleanser always make sure you choose the moisturizer to match it, they work together.
Wash your face frequently with cold water and use a face pack of grated apple. You can find more cheap, effective and natural home remedies for oily skin at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/oilyskin.htm鈥?/a> .
I love Clinique Extra Strength soap - used with a Buff Puff - and Nars Vitamin Serum, which keeps my skin plumped, hydrated and gorgeous - but never oily. You can buy the serum at Neiman and the soap at any department store.
i have the same problem...i use clearasil deep cleansing face wash...it doesnt dry my skin too much and it also refreshs it. if i were u i wouldnt wear any mosturiser on ur t zone but on the cheeks wear sunscreen

you should definitely use a mineral powder

i like the one from maybelline or neutrogena
I love bare mineral's mineral veil, but a great drugstore product is physician's formula translucent mineral foundation. I suggest putting it on before foundation, and during the day for a touch up. I hope this helps!
a mineral makeup or pressed powder for oily skin. Blotting papers may be helpful throughout the day too. Also be sure to select the right color for your skin tone. Read my posts on yahoo shine - Combatting Oily Skin and Selecting the Right Foundation for your skin type and skin tone.

  • I have dry hair .i use lot of oil and then shampoo.what can i do in this winter to oily hair and oily skin?

    Hello,

Hair: I guess you are using oil before taking a head-bath.

Do not use lot of oil. Just use till you apply to all the hair roots. Take 3 table spoons of coconut oil in a dish. Take some hot water in a bowl (this bowl should be able to stand the dish without tilting). Wait till the oil warms up. Apply gently with your ginger-tips to the hair roots. Keep the oil warm until you apply all the oil. You have to do this 30 minutes before you go to bed. Next day, take a head bath with sheekakai/reeta or a mild shampoo.

If you want to use Sesame oil, follow the same procedure one hour before the bath. After applying the oil; Take a small towel. Dip it in warm water and squeeze the excessive water. Wrap it around your hair. Let it stand for an hour.

You can follow this in every season.

Oily Skin: Try to wash your face whenever you can with warm water %26amp; a body wash soap. This helps to prevent pimples on the skin with oily hair. Do not use soap in winter; soap makes skin dry in winter. Or if you can find, use Herbal Powder(sunnipindi) or besan.I have dry hair .i use lot of oil and then shampoo.what can i do in this winter to oily hair and oily skin?
i think that even though you are using oil, you should use garnier fructise. i use it and it works really well.I have dry hair .i use lot of oil and then shampoo.what can i do in this winter to oily hair and oily skin?
