I have oily skin and use a gentle cleanser, then sweep a salicylic acid solution on my face. Salicylic acid clears oil out of your pores, but if it's in your cleanser you just rinse it down the drain. I get mine at paulaschoice.com and have been using it for several years; nothing worked before but I am very happy with these products.Help! does anyone know any good facial cleansers for oily skin???
Neutrogena has never failed me. It's cleared up my breakouts and kept my skin fairly smooth and non-greasy
I love DHC products. They're really gentle but clean really well.

Use their Deep Cleansing Oil as a first step. I know it seems counter-intuitive to put oil on oily skin, but this super-refined olive oil really works to dissolve makeup, dirt in your pores, and excess sebum. Massage it all over your face, neck, and decolletage for about a minute, then rinse with warm water. Follow with a wash using their Pure Soap. I use a gentle (orange) Buf-Puf sponge with the Pure Soap two or three times a week to exfoliate.

I agree with SB about a toner with salicylic acid. I use Neutrogena Rapid Clear toner pads before bed around ';that time of the month'; or any other time I feel like my skin needs a little extra decongestion.
There is a line of skin care for problem skin called Philosophy. I have had fabulous results.
