My skin is always so oily, what can I do?

Since two years ago, my skin has suddenly become oily and shiny all of the time. I used to have acne, but I've got that under control. Now I just struggle with the oiliness. I clean my face with a gentle cleanser and then apply an oil-free moisturizer, and my face still gets shiny and oily. Even when it's not oily, it's still at least shiny, which I can't figure out (how can skin be dry and normal yet shiny?) What can I do?My skin is always so oily, what can I do?
if your face is oily do you need the moisturizer?

if you have combination oily and dry skin, or even just for oily skin get the clinique three step face wash and cleansers. they're a little bit of an investment but worth it. instead of a moisturizing lotion it's a gel and it's great. it won't dry you out but it will help with the shininess. My skin is always so oily, what can I do?
ok!! first its ok to have oily skin.. you wont get wrinkly as fast as others with dry or combination(normal) skin..

second.. Do NOT use a drying cream, since your face is oily, if it recognizes dryness, itll breakout, and may become worse.. you should actually moistureize it!! wash it twice at one time, day and night.. and use neutrogine, facial faoming cleanser
Buy the clean and clear blotting oil papers and carry them with you. I always use them:-)

Also, be happy you have oily skin, you won't get wrinkles as soon as others your age.
Hmmm this is a question i have not seen in a while. Anyways, if your skin is really that oily, then have you tryed just soap, water, and a clean shower everyday? I take a shower every morining, wash my face, and then use lotion. I think you should go with my way cause i never have any problems with this
Clean %26amp; Clear oil botting sheets. i live by them.
you should try putting honey on your skin
i have the same problem. sometimes your hair can rub oil onto your face, keep it back out of your face or wash it more frequently. also eating alot of junk food could make you oily, so eat healthy. i use clinique 3-step face wash for oil skin which is expensive, but it's a really good investment. also, if you wear makeup, you shouldn't wear anything really creamy. if you don't, just brushing on a light powder can help by soaking up some of the oil. i have an almay powder that works nicely, and it's pretty sheer so it doesn't look like i've caked on makeup or anything. you can wear it alone, or use it as a base and put your regular makeup on over it.
It sucks. I have the exact same problem. My skin gets SO oily and gross even though I shower everyday. My nose also is always shiny even when it's not oily. So the only solution I have is to get the Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets. If you don't want to clean up your oily face in front of other people like me then do this:

So get the oil blotting sheets. If you're going somewhere like school. Then take a few of the sheets and then wrap then in a small piece of toilet paper. Keep them in your pocket. When you go to the bathroom, pretend to go to the bathroom and just take out the sheets and clean up your oily skin. If you forget the oil blotting sheets or don't have them, then just take toilet paper from the stall and wipe your face. It's what I do! It's pretty weird, but I don't want to do it in front of people..SO ya. If you're not self consious about that then go right ahead and do it in front of people. (:
gah i hate that i have the exact same problem!! i wash my face with a mild cleanser then put on an oil free moisturizer. After about 2 hours my face is shiny and oily eww ahahha. those clean and clear oil things everyone is talking about reallllyy help!
Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

Yes, you do need a good cleanser as well as an oil free moisturizer. I would recommend you to use zenmed's three step skin care system which is a gentle facial cleanser that cleanses deep within your pores and is enriched with a H-series moisturizer for a nourished, youthful and oily free skin.
