Okay so i have a mixed skin type, kinda oily on the T zone, yet other places can get really dry.?

I have always had good skin meaning like only a few pimples each month, but recently i BROKEOUT all over my forehead. im not sure why, i havent really changed my regular day to day schedule, but i dont know what to do, im going out in a week and want to look good, is there anything i can do to this go away? PLEASEEEEE help !Okay so i have a mixed skin type, kinda oily on the T zone, yet other places can get really dry.?
the same thing happened to me when i moved into new york city. all of a sudden, i got breakouts like crazy cuz the air was so bad. it could also happen if you changed your hairstyle to one with bangs and it could also happen if you changed the shampoo or conditioner that you use. think about what could be touching your forehead. remove that and you should be okay.

in any case, wash your face every morning with exfoliating deep cleanser to clear out the oil and the bacteria that's growing there and whatever's covering your pores.

then put on salicylic acid and benzoly peroxide like Oxy 10, Proactiv solution, or clean and clear. the best one is oxy 10. it could irritate some people's skin. if it does, then put it on and wait 10 minutes and then wash it off. it should be safe then. avoid sensitive areas like eye area and dry areas like cheeks. salicylic acid takes much longer for it to work cuz it's less strong, but proactiv and clean and clear are good too. it just takes like one month instead of 3 days.

then put on oil-free moisterizer to seal your face and keep out the germs.

repeat every morning and every night. your skin should clear up in the first three days. if not, keep doing it until it does.

to keep yourself good from the inside out, drink lots of water.Okay so i have a mixed skin type, kinda oily on the T zone, yet other places can get really dry.?
1. DON'T TOUCH! I always have the urge to touch and scratch and it's the absolute worst you can do for your skin.

2. Open up your forehead: if you got bangs, lose 'em. Hair covering pimples makes them worse by retaining dirt underneath. Acne = bacteria. No bacteria = no acne.

3. Cleanse well. You don't need anything super crazy fancy for $80 a bottle. Just a soft soap that cleans well. I used to use Clearasil but it's too harsh. A good soap is by Bior茅, they have lots of types: for oily skin, for dry skin, for acne-prone skin etc. You probably want the oily skin soap.

4. Once you've cleansed, apply a mask. Once again, Bior茅 is a good choice. (Why? because all other acne creams have benzoyl peroxide (sp), and other nasty stuff, and if you have good skin generally, you don't want to destroy it with harsh chemicals. Bior茅 is much friendlier on your skin - at least, in my experience). There are many masks available, you may want to read the label carefully and see which one applies to you best (only you know your skin).

And while I remember, Vichy is another good one. In fact, I LOVE Vichy, and I can never choose between Bior茅 or Vichy. Vichy smells better :)

5. After you've applied your mask, moisturize with an oil-free moisturizer. I love Vichy moisturizer, I don't know if Bior茅 has one.

6. They say not to mix and match - and don't, if you choose Vichy, stick with it: soap, mask, moisturizer, everything. But after your moisturizer, try spot-zapper by Vichy (I can't remember the actual name). It's a tiny little tube that is supposed to kill small breakouts in 8 hours (it doesn't work THAT well, but it works).

Use the mask twice a week, no more. Cleanse daily at night, use the spot-zapper in the morning, and make sure your foundation/powder, if you use any, are non-comedogenic (non-acne-causing), this is VERY important. Mineral makeup works very well, many companies produce it now.

And did I mention, DON'T TOUCH THEM!! and don't squeeze :)
