my skin is more oily than average...and my pores are a little larger than average as well..
i hear peopel say its genetic but neither one of my parents have large pore or had acne liek i did....
so what is it???Causes of large pores and oily skin?
Oily skin is genetic, somewhere in your family there may be oily skin. But there are other causes for oily skin i believe, the food you eat may contribute or the city you live in may also contribute. There are many types of skin the trick is to use a product that relates to your skin. Ex, i use to use aveeno wash for my face, i personally know aveeno is a great great product(family and friends) but it didnt help my skin and i continued to have acne, i used many others until i found out i wasnt using something balanced for my oily skin. Its all in the products and try and eat a diet without fried food etc. I now use avon products, True Pore Perfect line for oily skin is the best thing ive used in my life! But they are discontinuing it, i think because they are coming out with something better, if there is anything better, but im sure avon would never take out such a good product without replaceing it. http://www.youravon.com/coswald Causes of large pores and oily skin?
Inherited traits don't have to come from your Mom %26amp; Dad. Sometimes it's an ancestor.
Like 1 redhead every 2nd or 3rd generation. Or having old uncle Ted's big ears, etc.
So just because your folks haven't had this issue does not mean you didn't inherit it.
Develop a good skin care regimen and stick to it. Use Salicylic acid in your cleansers and toners, and do use a moisturizer - but one that's safe for oily/acne prone skin. You still want to keep the skin moist and not over dry it. Don't wash your face extra times because that can stimulate extra oil production. Drink plenty of water. Get exercise to get those pores flowing %26amp; clearing out, then get clean right after. And keep your hands away from your face - don't rest your chin on your hand, etc.
Good luck.
well like you said it can be genetic, but not just from your parents, maybe your aunts, uncles, grandparents, even great grand parents.
If your really concerned you should visist a dermatologist and they could answer your questions.
